Hospitality Experience
In 1996, while still running Pikayo, Wilo Benet became General Manager and Vice President of Copamarina Beach Resort in Guánica. In this property he managed 120 rooms, 2 restaurants, a Spa and the diving operation. He and his team repositioned Copamarina by making a dining destination in the West Coast. During his tenure, he was able to raise the average room rate and increase the food and beverage revenues and profitability, making this resort a very profitable one.
